Sue Burnell

For more than two decades Sue has worked with global and UK-based ICT organisations experiencing rapid change and growth. Her early career exposed Sue to the vagaries of constant waves of organisation change, but unlike many execs in her position, she benefitted from world-class training and development which helped her navigate the choppy waters. She founded Accelerated Success so talented leaders, in senior and middle management roles, could access the right ideas and approaches for their unique situation in a timely way and successfully deliver for their people, organisation, and customers.

Continued involvement with the delivery of client services enables Sue to see where clients’ needs are not being met by internal support services and to develop a solution that can be deployed rapidly. When designing new programmes Sue blends leading edge academic thinking with her own observations and experience in the field to develop a pragmatic solution that can be applied on the ground.

Sue holds an MA in Coaching & Mentoring Practice from Oxford Brookes University, where she has also been a guest lecturer since 2014. She is also an accredited coach with the Oxford Brookes International Centre for Coaching & Leadership and holds a BA in Psychology from the University of Keele. As thought leader in her field, Sue is a regular speaker at International Coaching & Mentoring conferences and co-author of The Leadership Coaching Alligator Handbook. Prior to Accelerated Success, Sue worked in change management, leadership development, and communication roles for British Telecom and the National Housing Federation.

When she’s not in the office or with clients, you’ll probably find Sue out in her garden creating beautiful spaces for people and wildlife or visiting historic houses and gardens in the UK. She also enjoys spending time with her husband and their son on long walks with the dogs or exploring historical sites. Yoga, reading, and cooking round out her other creative and peaceful pursuits.
