Responses of Strongly agree and Agree mean there is probably work for you to do here. Go through your responses and for each one where you’ve given Strongly agree or Agree answer the following questions:

12. Have any of the above problems incurred costs to your business due to staff turnover?
13. Have any of the above problems reduced revenue for your organisation due to loss of existing client business?
14. Have any of the above problems in teams led to missed opportunities to win business with new clients?
Even if the costs and opportunities missed total less than the yearly salary plus oncosts of a typical employee they could be substantial.
But what if the costs and opportunities missed total more than the cost of a typical employee? Or more than the cost of 2, 5, 10 or more typical employees?
That’s an awful lot of money your business is wasting or missing out on every year.
Through completing this exercise you won’t come up with final figures for costs incurred and opportunities missed through poor collaboration, however, you will get an idea of the extent of the harm these problems with teams could be doing to your business.
